KS2 English Quizzes

Key Stage 2 English spans Years 3 to 6 and is assessed at the end of Year 6 through the SATs, which include papers on reading comprehension, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. A teacher-assessed writing judgement is also reported. Reading Comprehension

Our grammar quizzes cover word classes (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, determiners, pronouns, conjunctions), sentence types (statements, questions, commands, exclamations), clauses and phrases (main, subordinate, relative, expanded noun phrases), verb forms (progressive, perfect, passive, subjunctive), and cohesive devices. Punctuation quizzes address commas, semicolons, colons, dashes, brackets, hyphens, apostrophes, and inverted commas. Spelling quizzes target statutory word lists, common prefixes and suffixes, and tricky spelling rules.
