The first world war, often abbreviated as WW1 was a war that was fought globally. Known to be one of the largest wars in history, it originated from Europe, and it was as a result of Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism and Nationalism. This is because there were some large armies that were a great threat to some countries. This made other countries start forcing alliances in order to secure land. The war lasted for four (4) years, causing the destruction of empires, the creation of new nation-states, the encouragement of independence, and much more.
