These quizzes are mainly for GCE and GCSE students studying Biology and in this quiz, you will learn what Genetics, Inheritance, and selection are and you may be tested in one way or the other before your Exams. The study of inheritance can help us to understand why people look the way they do and why some people are more prone to certain diseases than others. These studies usually help nurses, and health care personnel to know why a particular trait manifests at certain times along a generation or so.
Inheritance is simply the ability to acquire properties from your old or past generation.
This means that genetic information is passed from parents to children. In normal words, and simple English, we all know Inheritance to be the ability to own one's possession after he’s passed away but that is not what we are dealing with here. Inheritance has to do with the transfer of genotypic traits from parents to offspring.
Selection on the other hand has to do with the domination of particular traits over others which then tend to be used, and manifested as purebred. There are two types,
-Artificial which has to do with inbreeding and
-Natural selection has to do with changes into the most favorable traits as a result of the environment.
