Revising Weather and Climate with Quizzes

(Weather and Climate quizzes for students doing the GCE A level, GCSE and necta)

Weather and Climate are all aspects of Geography that study the short and long term conditions of the atmosphere. Weather reflects momentary states of the environment while Climate is the normal day by day climate for a more drawn out timeframe at a specific area. Weather can change from minute-to-minute, hour-to-hour, everyday, and season-to-prepare. Atmosphere is be that as it may, the normal of climate over the long run and space.

Weather

Different elements of weather are:

  • Rainfall
  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Snowfall
  • Storms
  • Winds etc

There are also different types of weather, Weather report which generally contains the information about the weather of a the day and Weather forecast which is important for people because many of our day-to-day activities are based on weather conditions.

Climate

The climate of a place can affect the living organisms of that area and so, animals living in a specific district adjust so they can endure the climate states of that place.

The Climate of a region is determined by the region's climate system. A climate system has five major components: the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the cryosphere, the land surface and the biosphere

The composition and movement of gases surrounding the Earth can change radically, influenced by natural and human-made factors.

Changes to the hydrosphere, which include variations in temperature and salinity, occur at much slower rates than changes to the atmosphere.

The abundance of plants and the type of land cover (such as soil, sand, or asphalt) impacts evaporation and ambient temperature.

The biosphere, the aggregate of living things on Earth, significantly impacts atmosphere. Through photosynthesis, plants help direct the progression of ozone depleting substances in the air..

During exams, students are mostly evaluated in this section through written sessions. Written sessions include multiple-choice, short answers, and essay questions for students to demonstrate their comprehension of this concept.
