Quiz Description

Here in this science quiz, we are going to be looking at some aspects of digestion such as how protein is broken down, how starch is broken down, the role of enzymes in digestion, the various glands involved in digestion, and many others. This quiz is very important for anyone aspiring to be in the medical field of work.

Digestion can be defined as the breakdown of large insoluble food molecules into small soluble ones in order to make them capable of being absorbed into the blood. In simple terms, it is the process that your body goes through to break the food that you eat into substances that it can absorb and use (nutrients). Digestion begins with chewing in the mouth and ends in the small intestines. As food passes through the digestive tract, it mixes with digestive juices, breaking the food into smaller molecules. The body then absorbs these molecules via the walls of the small intestine into the blood, after which it is then transported to other parts of the body. The waste from digestion is then passed out through the large intestines in solid matter called stool.

Getting to know about digestion sounds interesting. If you are willing to know how your body functions with respect to this, go through this quiz and discover a lot more. Good luck.
