You must probably be asking yourself what remembrance assembly is all about and that is just what we will be talking about in this section.

What are ks2 remembrance  assemblies?

In schools, an assembly is simply a gathering made for everyone of that school of part of the school for particular reasons such as singing, passing an announcement, for special lessons like mental wellbeing of children or praying etc

Ks2 remembrance assemblies is therefore a gathering of ks2 students with the purpose of helping them to understand the importance of remembering, and of how our memories shape us as individuals.

During the ks2 remembrance assembly, the first thing that is done is that the theme is introduced. The children then close their eyes and remember something that happened the previous day. They then do the same thing but the children are asked to think right back and as far as they can. The mentor or leader of the assembly then continues with other instructions.
