In mathematics, when it comes to the expansion of some linear functions, using the normal procedure that we all know can be very tedious and tiring when it comes to the expansion of linear functions to very high power. This is when the binomial series also known as the binomial theorem comes in handy.
The Binomial series or theorem therefore informs us on how to expand expressions which are of the form (a+b)ⁿ we have as example (x+y)⁷. In this example, it is difficult to expand the expression directly since the expression has a very large power but with the binomial series, it is relatively easier and faster to expand the expression.
