(Simple A level Uniform Circular Motion quizzes to assist students at the A level preparing for GCE, GCSE and necta.)

Hello. Welcome to gcequiz where you get tested in what you know through quizzes.

In this quiz, we will be looking at Uniform Circular motion. Uniform Circular motion, yet, another important aspect in mechanics has to deal with motion in a circular path. Below are quizzes on circular motion that'll go through the topic to its optimum level. Nonetheless, let's have a recap of the topic:

Consider a particle moving along the perimeter of a circle at a uniform rate, such that it makes one complete revolution every hour. To describe the motion mathematically, a vector is constructed from the center of the circle to the particle.

Uniform circular motion can be described as the movement of an object in a circle at the same speed. As an object moves in circle, it constantly changes its direction.

In all cases, the object is moving tangent to the circle. Since the direction of the velocity vector is the same as the direction of the particle's motion, the velocity vector is directed tangent to the circle as well.

An object moving in a circle is said to be accelerating. Accelerating objects are objects changing their velocity or the speed and the direction too. An object in uniform circular motion is moving at same speed. Nevertheless, the object is accelerating due to its change in direction. The direction of the acceleration is inwards.

Circular motion does not have to be at a fix speed. A particle can travel in a circle and increase or decrease in speed, showing an acceleration to the direction of the motion.

During uniform circular motion, the particle executing circular motion has a constant speed and the circle is at a fixed radius. If the speed of the object changes as well, then we introduce a new acceleration in the direction that is tangent to the circle.

During exams, students are evaluated via multiple-choice and/or short answer questions on Circular motion ( calculation of periods, frequency, etc). The concept must be understood in order to get a pass in questions under it. In this light, many practice quizzes are made available Click here for more entertaining quizzes.

This platform is one of the best you'll find, with relative ease in practicing for your exams. For more info, visit gcequiz.com. Enjoy yourself.
