Integration by part: This is an integration technique that involves the product of 2 or more functions example, two functions j(x) and i(x), the result of this function using integration by part will be: int.(f(x).g(x))dx = int.(f(x).g(x)) - int.(g(x).f'(x)). where int. = integration. 

Integration by substitution: Some integrals are difficult to find so what we do is to add a new independent variable to the equation to help us find easily integral hence the name substitution integration. 

Integration using trigonometric identities: Integration using trigonometric identities comes in play when your working with trigonometric functions, so you won't need to integrate any more but just use the identity, some example of those identities.

sin2x=1−cos2x2

cos2x=1+cos2x2

sin3x=3sinx–sin3x4

cos3x=3cosx+cos3x4 

Application of integration

Some applications of integration can be used for finding surface area, the volume of the curve, and also finding the central points just to name and few.
