Advanced level Heating and Cooling Quizzes.

(Heating and Cooling quizzes for A level, GCE, GCSE, and Necta)

A level Heating and cooling is involved with Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning . These systems are often designed by engineers to maintain the comfort and safety of building occupants. Heating and air conditioning components assist us by controlling indoor climate and proper airflow, which ensures that we neither freeze nor sweat.

Heating in simple words simply means warming , or changing the temperature of something from low temperature to high temperature.  Heat is a form of energy that can be transferred from one substance/object to another, or even created at the expense of the loss of other forms of energy.

Reviewing, temperature is a measure of the ability of a substance, or more generally of any physical system, to transfer heat energy to another physical system.

It is the process by which 'clean' air (normally outdoor air) is intentionally provided to a space and stale air is removed. The corresponding loss of air from an enclosed space is known as exfiltration.  Ventilation is so important because,  it controls how much moisture is lingering in our homes. A good ventilation system will usually help to expel a build up of pollutants, bacteria and moisture.

Ventilation can also be said to be used to control indoor temperature, humidity, and air movement to benefit thermal comfort, as well as satisfaction with other aspects of indoor environment, or other objectives.

Air conditioning

Air conditioning is the process by which heat is removed and moisture from the interior of an occupied space to improve on the comfort of occupants of the space. Air conditioning is normally  used in both domestic as well as commercial environments . The main purpose of the air conditioner is to remove heat from your home, usually leaving you cool and comfortable .

HVAC systems

This system, the HVAC system is responsible for heating and cooling your homes and include products like furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps as well as duct-work, thermostats and other home comfort controllers. The main purpose is to  maintain good indoor air quality through adequate ventilation with filtration and provide thermal comfort.

To finish, A level Cooling and heating is very important for it opens students eyes to see the power of ventilation which deals with comfortability of the human body when in a closed place, like a room.
