Revising A level Control Systems Quizzes
(Simple Control Systems quizzes for students doing a level, GCSE, GCE, and necta.)
In computer science, a topic that students need to be assimilated is a control system. A control system manages, commands direct, or regulates the behavior of other devices or systems using control loops, Another definition of computer control is a system that control provides the desired response by controlling the output. examples of control systems can range from home heating systems, network systems, and manufacturing systems.
Car manufacturing control system: is an example of a control system, here the machine is provided wherewith a chain of the line of cars in which other parts need to be weld together, the process is as follows, A machine takes in a car (the one in front) the grapes another part the car doors then welds the doors to the car, When the machine is busy welding the door, no other body part nor the car is presented in front of the current machine, the systems control the cars and parts according to the machine works.
Types of control systems
Control systems can be grouped into the following
Continuous-time and Discrete-time Control Systems: A system can be classified as continuous if all signals are Continuous and discrete if there exists at least one discrete signal
SISO (Single input and single output) and MIMO (Multiple Input and Multiple outputs) Control Systems: A control system can be classified as SISO if it has ONLY one input and ONLY one output, while MIMO is a control system that has more than one input and more than one output.
Apart from those some other definitions students are asked to know are open-loop control and closed-loop control. An opened loop is a control system in which the output of the control system is not feedback to the system while a closed system is one in which the output is feedback into the system.
